80% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre from clay-limestone on marl & clay soils, before 2019 all purchased wine, from 2020 inc 3 hectares ex Domaine d’Aéria of own vineyards, destemmed, 3 week vinification, pumping overs, steel vat raised 12 months, unfined, light filtration, first wine 2013
dark red colour; the bouquet sits quietly, gives only a discreet line of black berry fruit, a nudge of raspberry with that. There are pockets of mystery, more to come. The palate has a typical southern oiliness in its texture, a classic structure that means it builds well in depth and intensity along its path, the finish entertaining, nicely rich, the tannins well inset. This is STGT Rasteau, right in the zone, bears really neat fruit. 14.5°. 80% Gren, 15% Syr, 5% Mourv. €14. From spring 2020. 2033-35

Jeb Dunnuck 94 Punkte: I love the 2017 Rasteau. This head-turner checks in as 80% Grenache, 15% Syrah, and the rest Mourvèdre that I
suspect saw a touch of French oak in its élevage. Loaded with notions of blackberries, spring flowers, peppery garrigue, and a hint of barrique, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, beautiful purity of fruit, and a great finish. Count me impressed. Savvy readers should snatch up this beauty, which should keep for at least 7-8 years.

Erhältlich ab Mitte Juli 2020
