Rhone Report: 3-4 ***(*) /***** dark red robe; the nose has a savoury aspect, sweet, attractive notes of cooked raspberry with a shuffle of herbs and pumice stone in attendance. The palate bears flinty red fruited content, is naked in manner, carries a healthy rawness, a herbal thrust covering it, notably on the finish. The fruit centres well, and has a clear intensity. Allow until 2027 to meld out the finish and the slightly dry tannins. It’s a grounded Gigondas, can reach a point of harmony over the next five years or so: it’s rated on the basis of patience. 15°. 10,660 b. 80% Gren, 10% Syr, 10% Mourv.
